Renowned national theatre company Paines Plough will be bringing a production to the Isle of Wight for the first time next week, with a special one off performance of Duncan Macmillan’s ‘Every Brilliant Thing’ which follows sell out runs in London, New York and Edinburgh.
Taking place at the Ventnor Exchange on Tuesday (20th September) the show is a major coup for the venue which was described by The Guardian as “heart-wrenching, hilarious… possibly one the funniest plays you’ll ever see.” along with rave reviews from all of the major national broadsheets.
Artistic Director Jack Whitewood said:
“The play takes a heartfelt look at depression and the lengths we will go to for those that we love, it is both very moving and very funny. Duncan Macmillan is one of the country’s most exciting new writers with his latest play ‘People, Places and Things’ having had a run in the West End this year after a successful premiere at the National Theatre. We’re thrilled to bring a show like this to the Island.”
