This Saturday (15th October) Breathe Easy – the charity based in the Respiratory Department of St Mary’s Hospital and part of the British Lung Foundation – are holding their annual Autumn Fair at Newport Parish Centre, Town Lane from 11:00 until 15:00.
As well as the usual stalls such as a bottle tombola; white elephant; childrens stalls; books; cakes and refreshments, prizes have been donated for a raffle.
All money raised by the fair will go towards the charity’s efforts in purchasing a £20,000 portable ultrasound scanner for the Respiratory Department at St Mary’s Hospital. The scanner will be used in their department and also by respiratory patients on the wards, making it much easier and faster for correct diagnosis to be made.
