A new club night showcasing some of the Island’s top music talents has been announced to take place in Newport.
Club Atmos, happening at Strings Bar & Venue (located in Newport Bus Station) on Saturday 8th July, is run by local promoters Atmos Music and looks to offer something for everyone (18+).
Headlining the night is hip-hop legends Born Ina Barn, who will be joined by the brass section of Fellowship Of Groove and Clippa Sound during their set.
Also playing on the night is psychedelic power trio Confed Fred, fresh from performing at Glastonbury, and grunge-rock trio Gyerphage.
DJ’s Functional Skills will be playing festival anthems until 2am, playing hits from Kaiser Chiefs to Cypress Hill and Foo Fighters to Faithless, as well as house and garage tunes.
Organiser Luke Joynes, founder of Atmos Music, said:
“Newport has been missing a decent live music club night for years, so I believe we’ve finally found the answer to this. I’m particularly looking forward to Born Ina Barn’s set and there’s sure to be many singalong moments with Functional Skills behind the decks”.
Club Atmos will open its doors for over 18s only at 21:00 and is £4 on the door before 23:00, to see the bands, and £3 after 23:00, for the DJ’s.
