Ryde Castle Hotel in Ryde has had its windows boarded up and is not set to re-open for at least another 8 weeks.
The seafront hotel and restaurant, which is a popular wedding venue on the Island, has been closed for the past week as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
Now, it has been revealed that the venue will remain closed for at least another 2 months in the battle against COVID-19.
Contractors arrived on site today (Saturday) to put boarding up against all of the windows.
Staff at Ryde Castle have said thank you to all of the customers and staff and say they will re-open with a party – but no fireworks.
