The team behind Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill have taken the tough decision to postpone the opening of both parks this season and cancel upcoming events at Easter.
In a statement issued this evening (Monday), Vectis Ventures have said that their guests and staff are top priority and that the decision has been made following careful consideration as part of an ongoing plan to ensure continued wellbeing during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Farm Fest and Dawn of the Dinos related activity will not take place, however, the parks hope to be able to open Robin Hill and Blackgang Chine from 4th April onwards for guests to enjoy the wide, open spaces available – subject to updated Government advice.
All standard terms & conditions remain in place at this time. E-tickets are not restricted and are therefore valid for a visit during any same-tariff period, between advertised opening dates and hours, up to the end of the 2020 season. Surcharges will be applied to any tickets being redeemed outside of the suggested visiting date, where required (eg, an off-peak ticket being redeemed during a peak period). Full T&Cs can be found at https://robin-hill.com or https://blackgangchine.com.
Vectis Ventures say that, as with many businesses, they are actively monitoring the situation with regards to the outbreak of COVID-19 Coronavirus – they are following all guidelines issued by Public Health England and will continue to operate to our expected high standard of hygiene and cleanliness around the parks.
If you are planning to visit either Blackgang Chine or Robin Hill from an area that has been directly affected and you are showing symptoms similar to those associated with the virus, the parks are politely asking that you do not visit and instead contact your local health authority immediately for further advice and instruction.
The team at Blackgang and Robin Hill thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
