The Newclose Beer Festival is in full swing today (Saturday) with a good turnout enjoying the cricket and liquid refreshments on offer.
35 real ales including many Island-made tipples as well as cider and wine are on offer with an intriguing local derby also taking place.
This is the 1st ever Beer Festival held at Newclose and the crowd is enjoying the cricket on a beautiful sunny day.
With 5 overs left of their allotted 40, Newport are 210 for 3 with Northwood to begin their reply after the interval while the Beer Festival continues until 20:00.
The festivities will then continue tomorrow (Sunday) between 14:00 and 20:00 with Morris Dancing taking place between 15:00 and 16:00 and a performance from Island folk band The Crew starts at 17:00.
Entry is just £3 and no pre-booking is required.

I went to Newclose on Saturday with a few friends,
we had great day with some great ales.
Looking forward to any future Festivals.
