Barratt Homes staff will set up coffee mornings on Saturday 1st October at Bluebell Meadows in Newport and at Hawthorn Meadows in East Cowes and invite members of the public to attend and make donations towards Macmillan, helping to change the lives of people affected by the disease.
Around 100 mugs of tea and coffee are consumed every working day on Barratt Homes sites, and it’s hoped that the appetites of visitors will contribute to the charity’s annual drive to raise money.
Barratt Homes sales director Michelle Storer, said:
“We want to help Macmillan raise as much money as they can to help those suffering because of cancer, and if we can involve local people in our efforts and enjoy a cuppa together, that’s even better.”
As well as hot drinks, cakes will be provided for the coffee morning in return for a donation.
The coffee mornings will be taking place at Bluebell Meadows and Hawthorn Meadows from 10:00 until 17:00.
