Police are appealing for information following an attempted burglary in Freshwater between 18:45 last night and 11:30 this morning (Sunday).
The front door of a house in The Nurseries, Freshwater was damaged, although entry to the house was not gained.
PC Tom Wyld from Newport Police Station has said:
“Have you seen anyone in the area approaching houses or trying front doors? If so, please call me on 101 quoting 44160466475.
“At this time of year, remember our Safer Homes advice. This includes locking your doors, garages and side gates, using security lights and looking out for your neighbours.”
