Asda has cut the price of unleaded petrol by 2p per litre and diesel by 4p per litre today (Wednesday) – the second fuel price cut in a week.
Drivers filling up at any of Asda’s 322 petrol stations – including here on the Isle of Wight – will benefit from the price cut which has now seen the retailer bring fuel prices down by up to 7p per litre across the last week.
The nationwide price cap means you’ll pay no more than 118.7p per litre for unleaded and 120.7p a litre for diesel.
Asda Senior Fuel Buyer, Dave Tyrer, has said:
“We’re pleased to be passing on these wholesale cost prices to customers for the second time in two weeks as the price of oil continues to fall. Any motorists filling up at Asda will pay no more than 118.7ppl on unleaded and 120.7ppl on diesel. This is the second time in a week we’ve led a price cut, bringing the cost of fuel down by up to 7 pence per litre.
“We will continue to put the savings straight back into drivers’ pockets without any vouchering requirements meaning all our customers, regardless of their budget, will benefit from a price cut at the pumps.”
It is expected that other supermarkets across the Island will adjust their pricing following today’s cut by Asda.
