For one of their September exhibitions, People’s Gallery based in Union Street, Ryde is supporting The Earl Mountbatten Hospice with a unique show and silent auction.
‘Art Cares’, to be held between 20th-25th September, will showcase original work from a dozen or so artists. Each artist exhibiting their work will be donating 1 original piece of work, in any form, for the auction in which the public will be invited to make sealed bids. All the proceeds will go the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
For members of the public this is an ideal way to support the hospice with the bonus of owning an original piece of work from an Island artist.
Each artist will have an area of about 2 metres square. Some of them will be showing several pieces, depending on the size. Donated pieces, for the silent auction, will not necessarily be framed but will be well presented.
Well known artists with work on show will include Becky Samuelson, Loren Brooks, and Isobel Evans.
At the end of the exhibition the sealed envelopes will be opened to see who has made the highest bid and those members of the public who have been successful will be able to collect their chosen piece of work from the gallery.
The exhibition will run from 20th-25th September between 10:30-16:30.
