The owners of Robin Hill Country Park have resubmitted a planning application to the Isle of Wight Council seeking permission to build tree houses, lodges, glamping tents and even a bakery on land at Downend.
In 2015 Vectis Ventures submitted a planning application to develop an almost Centre Parcs-like environment on land surrounding the existing Robin Hill attraction, however, the scheme was deemed too big and Council planning officers advised reducing the overall size and impact of the plans.
An application has now been resubmitted with revised plans detailing 19 tree houses, 23 lodges and 40 glamping tents. A reception building, car park and bakery are also planned for the development, which will create up to 50 full time and part time jobs and have a total capacity of 320 overnight visitors on site.
Islanders can have their say on the plans until 7th April by visiting.
