Scouting for Girls, The Hoosiers, The Fratellis and Pixie Lott were just some of the top acts that entertained thousands of festival revellers at Eklectica over the weekend.
The second staging of the annual event was a great success with Islanders and visitors of all ages immersing themselves in the relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere at Robin Hill Country Park near Newport.
In stark contrast to 2017, the late summer sun shone this year to provide a pleasant weekend for day trippers and those camping over the festival’s 3 days of live music and entertainment.
The disappointment of The Noisettes pulling out due to illness didn’t last long with Eliza & The Bear ensuring crowds were equally impressed with their main stage set. Moving away from the tribute acts that dominated the inaugural event in 2017 proved to be a wise move for organisers. Other acts to appear included Toploader, Professor Elemental and local fresh talent, Freazy among many, many others.
Deep in the woods the party continued with The Outwoods Stage where Reggie Yates and Tinchy Stryder performed on Friday night to kick-start the unforgettable weekend.
BoRo Beach Bike made the journey from Ryde to make Robin Hill its home for the weekend, providing unique rides around the festival site.
Organisers are already setting their sights on next year’s event, which will no doubt continue to grow on the success of 2018.
