springfestivalyarmouthIslanders are being invited to Yarmouth Harbour’s Spring Festival this coming Saturday, with the opportunity to explore the town’s very own lifeboat.

All things sea are being celebrated during to one-day festival, which runs between 11:00 and 16:00 on Saturday (25th April). Visitors will not only be able to enjoy the town’s many eateries, pubs and fantastic walks, but make use of the exhibitors attending including SeaSafe with a lifejacket service point, Datatag with marine security products and Hudson Wight with discounts on sailwear.

HM Coastguard will be attending the event alongside National Coastwatch Institution to provide safety advice and information.

The RNLI will be offering tours of their Severn-class lifeboat with the opportunity to meet and speak with the crew who safe lives at sea and keep the lifeboat running 365 days a year.

Hampshire Constabulary’s Marine Unit, in conjunction with Ramora UK, will be giving visitors the opportunity to dispose of Time Expired Pyrotechnics (TEPs), safely and legally in return for a charitable donation.

There will be 50% off berthing fees (lunchtime and overnight stays) and a hog roast will be available on the Quay.
