Still celebrating their entry into the National League in 2016, the Wightlink Warriors’ speedway team work party have announced the next dates for work to take place on the Smallbrook track and stadium.
With people travelling to the Island from as far away as Middlesbrough, Carterton, Cornwall, and Loughborough it’s been agreed to extend the work party days between 28th December and 1st January.
There will be the opportunity to camp or bring along a camper. If you can help the ‘working Warriors’ over the festive period, email [email protected].
Operations Director Martin Widman said:
“The last working party was a huge success and we really moved the project along while having a great time in the process. We were overwhelmed with the distances some of the team came to support the Warriors last time and we look forward to welcoming more to team Warrior in between Christmas and New Year.”
There will be a celebration party held at the Premier Lounge on the 29th December with tickets costing just £5. There will be a disco provided by Phil Lynch of Cloud 2 Entertainments and hot food at £1.00-2.00 with free food for Team Weekend Warriors.
All the proceeds going to the air fence, riders fuel and tyre fund.
Tickets are available by emailing [email protected].
