For the first time ever, Activ8 from 1Leisure are hitting the road this summer and have teamed up with activity providers Tackt-Isle to offer a Big Day Out on Friday 12th August.

There are only 30 places available on Big Day and they are expected to go fast.
Tackt-Isle outdoor activity centre is based St Helens Duver and the centre will provide the equipment, tuition and anything else needed for adventure on dry land or on the water. Activ8 staff will also be on hand with helpers to ensure that everyone is safe and enjoying themselves.
Executive member for tourism and recreation, Councillor Shirley Smart said:
“It can often be very hard to keep children occupied over the school holidays so the Big Day Out, as part of the Activ8 programme of activities over the whole summer, is a great opportunity to encourage your children to have fun in a healthy, fun-packed way.
“The team at 1Leisure have tried to keep costs as low as possible to make activities accessible to all so I would encourage parents to book their children up to a whole summer of exciting experiences and the chance to make new friends.”
Sales manager for recreation, leisure and public spaces, Allan Bridges, said:
“We’re really excited about our Big Day Out. It will be a first for us and we hope to offer this annually with Tackt-Isle. We’re expecting bookings for this to go fast, so I would urge parents to book places as soon as possible.
