A planning application has been submitted for the proposed development of 25 homes on land at Pondwell near Nettlestone.
Pondwell IOW Ltd, which is headed up by Robert Ball, has applied to the Isle of Wight Council for the demolition of an office block and 37 residential units to be replaced with 25 modern residential units.
Under the proposed plans there would be 4x 2-bedroom houses, 17x 3-bedroom houses and 4x 4-bedroom houses, as well as parking for 50 cars and landscaping of the area. The entrance to the site would be beside the now-derelict Wishing Well Pub.
Mr Ball has recently come under fire from residents in nearby Ryde for wanting to build 80 homes on land at Westridge Farm off Marlborough Road.
Residents have until 11th November to comment on the plans at https://www.iwight.com/planning/AppDetails3.aspx?frmId=31872.
