We don’t want all that lot here. Stuck behind lines of bikes swerving to avoid the pot holes and crumbling edges where a poor repair has been done to our roads.
Maybe you should stay at home and chunter to yourself. Other people want to have some fun.
they can have fun just not over here
exactly – rather it didn’t take place here, roads are bad enough without these lot slowing things up
What potholes. The island roads are like silk compared to the mainland
Oh boy.
This is going to trigger the regular frothy-mouth brigade.
Just because many don’t work here now, either too lazy, to busy claiming benefits or too old, some of us have to deliver goods and stuck behind lycra behinds at 4mph is no fun.
Ban it. They are not welcome here.
Not disappointed.
Can’t wait for the actual event to see the gammony bleating ramp up to it’s full intensity.
Agreed – perhaps some of these people should actually get out on a bike, loose some weight, be healthier (physically and mentally) and therefore be less of a strain on the NHS.
It brings nothing to the Isle of Wight economy just pollution and frustration, it’s not wanted..
Pollution? From a pushbike???
I totally agree, they are so arrogant, think they own the roads, pay road tax /insurance and mots then you can ride in the middle of the road hold up traffic until then NO way am I giving way to you !!
Let’s hope they read this and decide to clear off to somewhere who is more desperate to slow their traffic, breath in pollution for half an hour for a ‘five minute’ trip, and sells half a dozen tins of fizzy pop to ‘justify’ the intrusion.
Hope the weathers appalling and they don’t come back again.
Weight of a pushbike, 5kg max? Weight of a car, 1500 kg, doing the maths 50p road tax, would cost more to actually collect this, even if road tax was actually collected to repair the roads, which it isn’t. And as for not giving way, I hope your car gets hit by a bigger vehicle that doesn’t give way to YOU.
They are a nuisance there is no denying that and I can only assume from steevos comments that he is not old enough to drive and therefore joins these unwanted cyclists on his Raleigh chopper, we can assume he really is a 100%idiot so ignore his post obviously a windup merchant. Let’s hope IT does chuck it down
