2 WOMEN NABBED FOR STEALING OVER £5OO OF GOODS IN NEWPORT

2 women have been caught by Police with over £500 of stolen goods after a shoplifting spree in Newport.

CCTV operators based at Island Roads HQ – the same operators that the Isle of Wight Council want to axe – spotted the 2 suspects on the town’s CCTV cameras this morning.

Police officers were alerted to the situation and were able to stop the duo.

A search of the 2 women led to the discovery of over £500 of stolen goods which has since been returned to 8 different stores in Newport.
