Officers from the Island’s Joint Operations Unit are trying to locate 2 people who recently reported a vehicle being driven dangerously in Ventnor.
At around 18:20 on Tuesday, 2 members of the public stopped to advise a police officer that they had seen a silver Ford Galaxy being driven dangerously along Gills Cliff Road.
Officers did not have time to get their details as they had to move quickly in order to try and locate the vehicle.
The vehicle was later found abandoned on a bridleway in Niton.
PC Daniel Renshaw, said:
“I am appealing to the two people who stopped to talk to the officer to make contact with us. We would like to get some more information from them and speak with them about making a witness statement to support our investigation. If this was you, please call us on 101 quoting 44170106358.”
