A 19-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a Police officer in Northwood last week.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that the teenager has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody at this time.
Police have been appealing for information relating to the identity of a motorcyclist who is alleged to have assaulted an officer on Pallance Road last Wednesday, resulting in an eye injury being sustained.
As previously reported by Island Echo, the officer in question was conducting a stop and search on an individual when a third party got involved and the assault took place.
A 20-year-old male from Cowes has been arrested but released without charge with no further action to be taken.
