8 budding young gymnasts from the Elite Legacy Academy – based in Newport – took home a total of 13 medals and 12 rosettes from the Portsmouth Invitational Competition on Sunday (30th April).
The Women’s Artistic Squad from the Academy also won 2 overall trophies and took 2nd place.
The Academy have said:
“A fantastic Pre-Grades for our Woman’s Artistic Squad Girls today at the Portsmouth Invitational Competition with their grading coming up in 2 weeks time. We are still awaiting the final scores but – between 8 Gymnasts – the girls brought home 13 medals, 12 rosettes, 2 overall trophies, 2nd place and 8 very big smiles.”

Lucy Collins: 1st Vault, 2nd Bars, 2nd Beam, 2nd Floor, 2nd Range & Conditioning and 2nd Overall Regional
Grade 3
Megan Marshall: 6th Vault, 2nd Bars, 2nd Beam, 5th Floor, 1st Range & Conditioning and 2nd Overall
Skye Couse: 1st Bars, 4th Beam
Beaudi Mcdonald: 5th Beam
Club Grade 6
Elsie Macfarlane: 2nd Beam, 6th Range & Conditioning Club
Grade 5
Indie Orchard: 2nd Range & Conditioning, 5th Beam, 6th Floor
Ellora Jones: 4th Range & Conditioning
Regional Grade 4
Isabelle Berners: 5th Beam, 6th Floor, 6th Range & Conditioning
Lucy Collins and Megan Marshall took 2nd Place overall (Lucy with a fall on Bars).
