The 67th Isle of Wight Pier 2 Pier Sea Swim Race will be taking place in Sandown on Saturday (3rd August).
125 swimmers will take on the challenge of completing the 1.8 miles course across The Bay and finish on the beach at the Shanklin Rowing Club on Shanklin Esplanade.
The first swimmers will set off from the west side of Sandown Pier at 13:00 and are expected to walk up the beach at Shanklin at around 13:30.
The annual event is organised by the IOW Marlins Masters Swim Club and supported by the Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat, Ryde Inshore Rescue, Shanklin Deepsea fishermen and kayakers from the Isle of Wight Kayak Club. The swim will raise funds for these groups.
