Islanders have been treated to the unusual sight of a superyacht moored on the River Medina following the arrival of Archimedes in East Cowes this week.
The 68m vessel, which is worth a whopping $100million, has made the Isle of Wight its home and can be seen alongside Red Funnel’s East Cowes terminal.
Archimedes, which was built back in 2008, has been seen around the Solent recently. It’s unclear why the superyacht has stopped off on the Island.
Businessman James Simons is reported to be the proud owner of Archimedes. James is the founder of the hedge fund management company, Renaissance Technologies.
