100 BAGS OF COMPOST STOLEN IN OVERNIGHT RAID ON GARDEN CENTRE

Gardeners are being asked to be on the lookout after 100 bags of compost were stolen from a garden centre in Freshwater during the early hours of this morning (Friday).

The ‘Levington Original’ branded sacks were taken from Honnor & Jeffery on Afton Road, Freshwater at 01:41. The thefts forced entry to the premises.

In total, 1-and-a-half pallets of compost was stolen during the raid but it is hoped that it will soon be found as no where else on the Island sells the brand.

Police have been alerted to the incident and investigations are underway.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101, quoting incident 235 of 22/05/2020.
