An inquest into the death of 42-year-old Joanna Orpin, whose body was found near Chichester last month, has been opened and adjourned.
Joanna went missing from her home in Dover Street, Ryde just over a month ago on the 13th February. A major search operation involving numerous organisations was launched within a matter of hours after her car was found at the top of Culver Down by concerned family members.
Over the following days Joanna’s shoes were found at the foot of Culver and later her jacket in Whitecliff Bay. Sadly, a body was discovered at Bosham in East Sussex on 17th February.
Coroner for the Isle of Wight, Caroline Sumeray, opened an inquest into Joanna’s death yesterday (Tuesday). A post mortem has concluded Joanna died as a result of multiple injuries.
The inquest has been adjourned until 21st June.
