‘Thank you for everything you all do for us’ – thats the message from one generous Islander who anonymously dropped off an envelope of money to Police in Ryde for fallen Thames Valley colleague, PC Andrew Harper.
Isle of Wight Police have taken to Twitter this morning (Sunday) to thank the local individual who made the £100 donation at Ryde Police Station this weekend.
Officers say they are very grateful for the outstanding generosity.
A message wrote on the envelope reads:
“Please put this towards the funds for the officer killed on duty.
“Thank you for everything you all do for us. I am very grateful to every one of you”.
PC Andrew Harper, 28, was killed in the line of duty in Berkshire on Thursday night. 10 people have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
