Following a succession of successful events last year, Platform One has announced the continuation of ‘Inside The Industry’ this November.
The event, which discusses career pathways and experiences with Platform One Alumni, will take place on Tuesday 14th November at The Quay Arts as part of Discover! Creative Careers Week. The industry-led programme is working on a national level to ensure there is a larger and more diverse intake of talent via a broader range of routes into the creative industries.
As the leading music education organisation on the Isle of Wight, Platform One is supporting the initiative that directly addresses the creative economy.

“The Inside The Industry event will aim to inspire, inform and educate those who wish to understand more about career pathways in the creative industries.
“Learning from those who have experienced the journey via music education and now have full-time employment is relatable for those wanting a similar outcome”.
Guests for this event include Songwriter & Producer Jake Stimson, Creative Assistant at No Sheet Music Bethan Smith, Drummer and entrepreneur Ali Copping and local musician Bethan John.
This is event is open to the public and places are free but they must be claimed in advance. These can be accessed at www.ticketsource.co.uk/platformoneiow and under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Doors will open at 18:30 with the event commencing at 19:00.
