A woman in her 70s has had her pension money and a mobile phone stolen from her handbag in Ryde.
The incident occurred at around 15:00 on Tuesday afternoon in the town’s Iceland store on the High Street.
Family members have taken to Facebook to appeal for the return of the mobile phone as it contains sentimental messages and photographs.
Hampshire Constabulary have been notified of the incident and enquiries are ongoing. Officers are reviewing CCTV images.
