Southern Vectis are to reconfigure Newport Bus Station next week by moving the busiest routes to more spacious stands.
The bus operator aims to create a better and safer experience for all, giving passengers more room whilst they wait.
Those who use bus services in and out of Newport are being advised that from Sunday 25th March they will need to catch their bus from a different location.
New locations as of Sunday 25th March
– Route 1 – Stand A (by Next)
– Routes 7, 12 and 38 – Stand B (left of travel shop)
– Route 2, 3, 6, 8 and 39 – Stand C (outside travel shop)
– Route 5 – Stand D (central Island, formally Stand E)
– Route 9 – Stand E (library, formally Stand F)
Anyone who finds themselves in any confusion following the change to the layout is being advised to seek assistance in the travel shop.
Southern Vectis’ new 2018 Summer timetable will go live on the same day – Sunday 25th March.
