The main road connecting Shanklin and Ventnor will be closed from Wednesday to allow for repairs to a sewer.
Island Roads are advising motorists that Church Road will be closed from Number 32 to just outside St Blasius Church in order for Southern Water to safely undertake repairs to a foul sewer in the carriageway.
The closure will come into force at 09:30 on Wednesday morning (28th February) and will remain in force for a maximum of 5 days. Access to Luccombe will be retained from Shanklin.
The diversion route for all motorists is via Whiteley Bank and Wroxall, however, with snowfall anticipated on Thursday the road could easily become impassable.
