The Isle of Wight is one of the worst places in the country for underage drinking, new figures have revealed.
Data from Public Health England shows that the Island is considered a hot spot for the number of Under 18s who end up in hospital for drink-related issues.
Shockingly, figures from the past 3 years show that per 100,000 population, 69 teenagers ended up in hospital locally. This ranks the Isle of Wight well within the Top 10 worst places in the country for the hospitalisation of youngsters through drink.
The Isle of Wight is ranked in 7th position just behind Stockton-on-Tees.
