After being Highly Commended for the Green Initiative Award at the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business Awards recently, the Island Riding Centre are ecstatic to have been nominated for yet another award – this time by an international organisation.
‘Pegasus’ – a holiday home at the Newport-based centre – has been nominated in the European Holiday Home Association Awards for the Best Accessible Holiday Home.
Guests enter on the ground floor into a reception hall with access to a ground floor wet room with shower, easy reach sink and WC. There is also a large bedroom with king size bed and ample space either side. Both of these rooms are suitable for wheelchair users and each has an emergency pull cord system for alerting other guests.
The European Holiday Home Awards were founded by the European Holiday Home Association (EHHA) as a means to showcase the diversity and quality of holiday homes available for short term rental all around the world. The awards are given to individual holiday homes that provide for a unique and high-quality holiday experience for the average holiday guest.
A spokesperson for The Island Riding Centre has said:
“This is an exciting nomination for Island Riding Centre and we look forward to being alongside some of the best holiday homes from all around the world!”
