A sponsored walk following the Warrior Trail is being held in aid of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal in May.
The trail is based on a route used by General Seely to exercise his horse, Warrior, which he rode in Flanders during WWI – the Island’s real ‘War Horse’. The trial is 6 miles long and offers stunning views of the lsle of Wight.
Part of the Isle of Wight Walking Festival, the sponsored walk starts from the National Trust car park at Mottistone Gardens at 10:30 on Sunday 12th May. Registration is from 10:00.
A commemorative medal will be presented to all walkers who take part.
