A Ventnor photographer is raffling off a 2 metre long canvas at the Ventnor Boxing Day swim in aid of People’s Approach to Cancer Help (P.A.T.C.H).
Neil Williams will not only be photographing the annual event, but will be welcoming supporters of the swim into his gallery on the Esplanade to buy a £1 raffle ticket. All monies raised from the raffle will go straight to P.A.T.C.H, who are also the beneficiaries of the rather unusual Christmas gathering.
After the brave souls have dived fearlessly into Ventnor’s icy and wild waters at midday, the raffle will be drawn in Neil’s gallery. The winner will receive a copy of ‘Ventnor Beach in November’ worth £400.
If you’re swimming, or watching from the shore, look out for Neil and give him a wave when the whistle goes off as he is planning to swim out early and photograph the annual spectacular from the water.
The Ventnor Boxing Day Swim takes place at midday on Monday 26th December 2016.
