Freshwater Independent Lifeboat will be hosting their last Open Day of the season on Sunday (25th August).

The charity are pulling out all the stops for the Bank Holiday Weekend event, with funs and games for all the family – as well as delicious cakes, educational information and the chance to win big in the Grand Draw. There will be live music from West Win and the Brass Monkeys. a teddy tombola, hook-a-duck, a treasure hunt plus books, pottery and driftwood on sale.

With good weather expected, it’ll be your opportunity to meet the volunteer lifeboat crew and see them go through some exercises in Freshwater Bay.

The annual Grand Draw will also be launched with prizes already including a £250 Brittany Ferries voucher, a kayaking session with Adventure Activities and a Magnum of Champagne – plus lots, lots more.

Rod Adams, Principle Fundraiser for the charity, says:

“This is one of our largest prize giveaways! The prizes have been generously donated by our lovely supporters.”

The event starts at 10:30 (until 16:00) at Freshwater Independent Lifeboat Station, Freshwater Bay. Parking available opposite.
