5 empty houses at a cul-de-sac in Niton went under the auctioneer’s hammer for £655,000 today (Friday).
The freehold properties at Ivy Close were among 115 lots being sold by regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson this week at 5 auctions across southern England.
Situated at 1-5 Ivy Close, Newport Road, they were placed on the market as one lot by joint fixed charge receivers.
Rob Marchant, Clive Emson’s Isle of Wight auctioneer, said:
“We anticipated strong interest from owner occupiers and buy-to-rent investors in the five houses at Ivy Close, with the gavel coming down on a final bid of £655,000 in the sales room.”
Constructed in 2005/6, 3 of the semi-detached properties have 3 bedrooms, with 2 of them of the benefit of a garage with parking in the front, with the other 2 homes having 2 bedrooms each.
A first-floor flat with 1 bedroom, at 8 Shide Villa, Medina Avenue, Newport, which was guided leasehold with vacant possession at £75-80,000, was sold prior to auction.
Clive Emson’s next auction takes place at 11:00 on Friday 22nd March at the Solent Hotel & Spa, Whiteley near Portsmouth.
