The 120th annual Isle of Wight Ploughing Match will be held on Saturday 21st September 2019 at Manor Farm, Wellow.
An estimated 40 competitors will take part in the event which is spread across 7 classes including young competitors, vintage ploughs and reversible ploughs.
As well as the competitive ploughing there will be tractor rides, refreshments and a number of trade stands. Stands on the day look set to include Farm & General Insurance, NFU, The Leverets, C&O Tractors, Leslies Motor Group, Certas Energy, Roach Pittis, Wight Terrain, Hunt Forest Group and the Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance – as well as a various makes and models of tractors from vintage and veteran to modern tractors.
This year there will be a raffle celebrating local Island produce. Buy a ticket on the day to win a prize from one of the kind local produce donators including Farmer Jacks, Oil of Wight and Calbourne Mill.
Entry from 09:00 by donation to the IW Ploughing Match, which supports a charity each year. This year’s charities are the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and Prostate Cancer UK.
The Isle of Wight Ploughing Match 2019 is to be held at Manor Farm, Wellow Top Road, Wellow (PO41 0TB).
