Island Roads are set to close a busy street in Sandown for a period of 10 weeks to enable reconstruction and resurfacing of the carriageway.
Between Friday 8th March and Friday 17th May, Fitzroy Street will be closed both day and night between its junctions with Melville Street and Station Avenue.
The adjoining George Street will also be closed, between Fitzroy Street and Leed Street, to facilitate the Fitzroy Street resurfacing works. The alternative route will be signposted locally.
Southern Vectis buses are set to be effected by this closure and will divert locally.
