VANDALS THROW LIFE RINGS INTO THE SEA BETWEEN SANDOWN AND SHANKLIN

Published at:

A group of teenagers are suspected of throwing life rings and bins into the sea along the Sandown to Shanklin revetment this morning (Monday).

4 teenagers were seen to be acting suspiciously near to Wight Water at around 06:00, then seen again near Hope Beach where they were kicking a bin around. When confronted the mix of boys and girls turned around and headed back towards Sandown.

Although it is not known if the teens are to blame, it is sadly known that all the life rings and bins situated along the seafront have been carelessly discarded into the sea, potentially putting locals in danger.
