RECYCLING PLANT FIRE VISIBLE ISLAND-WIDE

martingroombembridgeA metal recycling plant fire in Portsmouth has prompted Island Echo readers from across the Island to send in photographs of the large plume of smoke, which has been visible for over three hours.

Firefighters from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service are tackling the blaze at European Metal Recycling Ltd in Dundas Spur. Over 9 pumping appliances are at the scene.
