Kim took to the ice in Altenberg, Germany this morning (Friday) for Round 3 of the BMW IBSF World Cup. She lined up alongside fellow Team GB competitors Laura Deas and Madelaine Smith.
Things got off to a good start in Run 1 but a dramatic moment on the exit of corner 4 nearly resulted in the 30-year-old flipping her sled over. She managed to maintain control and crossed the line in 1:00.75 to take 18th place.
There was an improvement in both time and speed in Run 2 with Kim recording a respectable time of 1:00.30, which secured 15th place in the run.
A combined time of 2:01.05 was enough to take 17th place overall.
Russia’s Elena Nikitina took victory in the women’s Skeleton with a time of 1:57.42.
