The May Day Bank Holiday weekend is almost upon us and that means the return of the Rookley Village Association annual Gardening Galore event.
Taking place on Sunday 5th May 2019 between 10:00 and 15:00, the Rookley Village Hall and Sports Field at Highwood Lane will be buzzing with a wide variety of Island-based growers, nurseries, garden centres and suppliers of all things gardening.
Entry is FREE, as is the adjacent parking, which means that there’s no worry about carrying your purchases around with you – just pop them back to your car.
When you feel in need of a break, refreshments will be available in the Village Hall, including lots of homemade cakes and cookies.
Each year a charity bucket collection takes place and this year it is for The Phoenix Project Isle of Wight, which is a specialist day service for adults with learning disabilities.
