West Wight Sports & Community Centre are now offering unique, fun and energetic climbing courses for children aged 3 to 17.
The centre hosts the Island’s only indoor climbing wall which offers 7 climbing lines of 6-7 metres and has routes for both beginners and experienced climbers, including a traversing wall.
Starting after half term, a variety of courses are being held with each course grouped into age categories in order to tailor them to different abilities. The courses are designed to allow your child to improve and gain new skills over the length of the course.
For older children, courses are available that allow them to work towards nationally recognised levels.
Pippets (3 & 4 yrs*) – First course starting Friday 2nd Nov at 10:30 – 11:30
*Parent or Guardian need to stay for sessions
Geckos (5 & 6 yrs) – First course starting Friday 2nd Nov at 16:00 – 17:00
Racoons (7 to 9 yrs) – First course starting Wednesday 31st Oct at 16:00 – 17:00
Lemus (10 to 12 yrs) – First course starting Tuesday 30th Oct at 17:00 – 18:30
Yetis (13 to 17 yrs) – First course starting Saturday 12th Jan 2019 at 15:30 – 17:30
