Firefighters from Newport tackled a car fire in Wootton this afternoon (Wednesday).
One appliance from Newport Fire Station was mobilised to Lushington Hill shortly before 15:25 after an Audi A3 developed a fire under the bonnet.
The single crew extinguished the fire by 16:00, however significant damage has been sustained to the front of the vehicle.
Motorists were delayed for a short while.
