Team Thunder at Sandown and Lake FC have enjoyed their final presentation evening as they celebrated 10 years of success at the club.
The under-16 team dressed in black shirts and yellow ties to mark their last evening together as a team.
Mick Radic, who took the team on in 2015, has said it was a joint effort with support from many coaches, parents and the management team of Sandown and Lake FC.
Jacqui Middlemiss, Treasurer and Child Welfare Officer of the club, said:
“It has been a privilege to watch this team develop and become successful over the past 10 years.
“It doesn’t just take good managers to create a good team – it takes the boys themselves and the parents to support the management. Team Thunder are an inspiration to any Sandown and Lake FC team and as a club we are all so very proud.”
She congratulated Mick and Rick Murthwaite, team coach, on their dedication, determination, perseverance and great management skills that have helped make Team Thunder the team they are today.

Sandown and Lake will be holding a charity match on Saturday 12th July 12pm at the Fairway the afterwards from 2pm at Mcarthys restuarant and Bar there will be stalls , bouncy castle , pony rides , raffle , games and barbeque.
All proceeds will go to Earl Mountbatten hospice and The Wight Brainy Bunch.
