28-year-old Jack Taylor, who allegedly stabbed another man with a knife at an address in Ryde last week, has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at the Isle of Wight Crown Court in March.
As first reported by Island Echo, Police were called at 20:46 on Friday 17th January to reports that a male had been seriously assaulted at an address on The Strand.
After conducting initial inquiries, 28-year-old Jack Taylor – of The Strand – was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
It is alleged that a knife was used by Taylor to cause injuries to the head and face of a man in his 50s.
Appearing before Portsmouth Magistrates Court via video link earlier this morning (Monday), Taylor did not enter a plea.
The case was adjourned until 10th March when Jack Taylor will appear at the Isle of Wight Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
He has been remanded in custody until that date.
