Following the news of 150 tyres being dumped in an island beauty spot this morning (Wednesday), Motoxiow has jumped at the opportunity to help clear away the remainder of the eyesore.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Tyres of Wight offered to remove and dispose 50 of the tyres – although this meant there were still 100 tyres left to still be removed.
Motoxiow also saw the news this morning and contacted the National Trust with an offered to take away the remaining 100 tyres.
The Motorcross venue has said the acquired tyres would be repurposed and used to build part of their new track in Newport.
You can find out more about the Island’s new Motocross track on their Facebook page.

Excellent!well done to these guys at Motoxiow!
Tyres of Wight , what a lovely thing to do , i do not know you personally ,but i was one of the contractors working in School Green road last summer on the hottest day of the year when you pulled up in your van and gave us some chilly cans of coke and ice creams , we never had a real chance to say thanks , i can assure you that we were so grateful , i would like to think your kindness not only towards us ,but in removing those dumped tyres will pay dividends , and people when in need of replacing there worn out tyres will look towards you , Thank you .
Fair play to these young lads who are trying to set up a new course . By taking on these dumped tyres they are making their track safer and also helping the island to clear a beauty spot of some d***heads anti social behaviour . We need more young entrepreneurs like these who are doing it off their own backs with no government grant backing . Well done lads .
