Two pumping appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have this afternoon (Saturday) attended a reported bus fire in Arreton.
The two crews from Newport Fire Station were called to the scene near to Arreton Post Office shortly before 13:20 following reports of an incident involving a Southern Vectis double decker bus.
It is currently unknown what damage, if any, has been sustained to the 12-year-old vehicle, however crews were seen to be inspecting the engine bay of the vehicle.
One appliance has since left the scene.
All passengers have been safely evacuated and no one is believed to have been injured in the incident.
