43-year-old Steven Tuckey, who became obsessed with a TV cam girl, has been slapped with a 10-year Stalking Protection Order by the courts and has been ordered to pay £6,500 in costs. Tuckey, of Dame Anthony’s Close in Binstead, is now prevented by law from contacting – directly or indirectly – a woman known online as ‘Valentina_xox’ after carrying out a number of acts associated with stalking. It was 12 months ago that Island Echo first reported on Tuckey’s appearance before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court. Since then, he has appeared in court several times – some hearings carrying on for hours longer than anticipated. Throughout the hearings, the court heard how Tuckey’s ‘obsessive’ behaviour began in late 2020 when the 43-year-old started chatting with the complainant who was working as an adult performer on the TV channel, Babestation. As the chat continued, Tuckey expressed a wish to engage with her on other platforms. He later sent the performer in her 30s £300 but she began to feel uneasy about the exchanges between them as Tuckey seemed to feel he should have a right to speak to her when he dictated. As a result, she decided to stop communicating with him – later describing him as a ‘menace’.
“You should be very careful who you go upsetting because not everybody is as reasonable as me. I only take what action is lawful; but there are plenty of nutters out there that if you treat them. “The way you have treated me, then they would have already thrown acid in your face by now… It is not too late for you to make amends, but if you keep acting the way you have been then things are only going to get worse for you”.
Feeling rejected by the adult worker, Tuckey continued to try to contact her via various platforms. An application for a Stalking Protection Order was submitted by the Police as a result of Tuckey’s persistent behaviour, with an interim Order granted on 24th February last year. Stalking Protection Orders only came into being in 2019 and whilst not a criminal offence, it is a crime to breach the civil order once granted.
“You’ll have to bring bankruptcy proceedings against me. I’m already 40k in debt and can only afford to pay the interest “.
Steven Tuckey has indicated that he may appeal the decision.
