Firefighters were called to a small rubbish fire outside Ladbrokes in Newport late last night (Sunday).
3 youths were seen moving several rubbish bags and setting a fire outside the bookmakers shop at around 22:50.
The trio then moved off towards Hunnyhill.
It’s understood the same youths then caused criminal damage to a bus stop at Town Gate with glass left shattered across the pavement.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service mobilised 1 appliance to Lower St James’ Street to ensure the rubbish fire was fully extinguished.
Police have been made aware of both incidents.
